Whalley Viaduct was built in the late 1840's and opened to the travelling public on Thursday 20th June 1850. Affectionately known as Whalley Arches the viaduct is 679 yards long and stands 70 feet above the River Calder.
Coasters are both made from a cork backed eucalyptus hardboard base covered by a paper image protected by laminate with rounded edges. Coasters are stain resistant and wipe clean. They are heat resistant for normal use but will not withstand dishes from the oven or direct from the hob.
Coaster size - 114 x 89mm.
