The opening of the English Martyrs Church took place on Sunday 4th July 1926. Inside the Church, the statue of Our Lady of Whalley, which stands to the left hand side of the altar, dates from before the Reformation and was found in the River Calder at the turn of the last century.
Coasters are both made from a cork backed eucalyptus hardboard base covered by a paper image protected by laminate with rounded edges. Coasters are stain resistant and wipe clean. They are heat resistant for normal use but will not withstand dishes from the oven or direct from the hob.
Coaster size - 114 x 89mm.
