The Royal Charter for a school in Whalley was granted in 1549 by King Edward V. The present building dates from 1725 and functioned as both a day school and boarding school for boys into the last century. At the front of the school stands a memorial to the brave men of Whalley who fell in the Great War.

All pictures are hand drawn and coloured by Christopher and printed directly on to 5mm foamex board which is strong, rigid and durable. The pictures are lightweight and light fast and are easily cleaned with a damp cloth. They need no framing (although you can frame them if you wish); simply place a picture hook or two in the back, hang and enjoy.
